A special thanks to everyone who came by our table at Son of Monsterpalooza last weekend!

It was great talking to all of you!

On Saturday we debuted the first resin casting of our 2011 Monsterpalooza collaboration sculpt.

It has been a tradition of sorts for us to start a sculpture and pass it around the show from artist to artist.

The results are always crazy, cool and very unique!

Each year the collaboration sculptures have become more over the top!

At the 2011 show, we collaborated on the following piece.

The sculpture started with Norman Meyers and Paul Komoda and then moved on to Damon Bard, The Shiflett Bros. and Casey Love.

After the show Paul took the sculpt home and continued working on it.

Here's the first major update from August 2, 2011

As you can see, Paul created a wicked face and mandibles from hell and lots of crazy spikes!

Plenty of crazy creature goodness!

Another update from August 11, 2011

The sculpture then moved back to Norm's house, where Norm continued to work on the legs and other areas.

A few months ago, the sculpture was dropped off at Mikey Rotella's house, where Mikey proceeded to refine the sculpt, adding more detail, and keying the arms.

Back to Norm's house 1 week ago!

Norm cut the legs off and further refined the piece ultimately getting it ready for molding.

Simon Garcia handled the molding and casting duties, delivering the very first resin casting to our table at the Son of Monsterpalooza show this past Saturday!

Here are the pics of the first casting!

We've got a few other collaboration sculpts from past shows that are close to being finished!
