At the core of this thing is a sculpt I did back in my second year of art school.
Between other projects, I would add parts and remove parts, until it ended up like this.
I 'deified' it with the base some time later, with that lotus pattern being an exercise in self-discipline, or perhaps acute masochism.

I see this creature at the front of a congregation, entrancing them with a rhythmic display of color shift coursing over it's entire body. Flabby arms openly welcome the intoxicated onlookers into it's moist and corrosive embrace.
