Many thanks for posting this interview. I love this statue and it´s little bit stylized design, which influenced my CG work too.
ReplyDeleteAgain thanks for this amazing article.
Thanks Paul - a most splendid interview - both informative and enlightening all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed it! I usually dread interviews, mostly because the questions are sometimes framed in a way that I'll look idiotic no matter how I answer.
ReplyDeleteThis one gave me a pretty wide berth, and it was cathartic to get the story straight. So much craziness during the period I was working on that. Bush got re-elected( barph ). Jhon Balance of Coil died. Someone I knew in NY committed suicide. Someone else I knew attempted suicide. Models from Suicide Girls were doing photo shoots with my friend across the street. All the while, I'm covered with green Casteline crumbs, endeavoring to make the sculpt look like something approximating an Alien, while two adorable black cats are jumping on top of the damned thing. Such times.
